The National Wildlife Federation is hosting the first 'Make Tracks' A Family Trail Weekend this weekend--October 11-13. The purpose is to get you and your kids outside to rediscover nature.
Are you planning to get outside this weekend? Get out and enjoy the fall weather and the beautiful changes it brings! Look at some trees, some birds. Check out the flowers, the insects. Pitch a tent in your back yard!

Perfect weekend for all my boys to go camping! I may not be able to take part in nature home with baby girl but I am excited about all the laundry and work around the house I will get done (how sad is that?).
The M&Ms: I gave myself permission to buy all those M&Ms because I thought I would use them in trail mix too. My whole family only picks out the M&Ms so I finally decided I could save money on all those nuts and raisins and we would all be happier (and fatter).
I like that sign - No Child Left Inside. I love being outside and I really miss our camping in Alaska. We all enjoyed our Dismal Swamp Learning and Hike, that we plan on doing more of them.
