Hiking with the cousins and crew.
A nature find.
Stopping for lunch.
Bluebonnet found in the dry river bed.
Hiking got a little tricky where where we needed to use chains.
Mikey found this highly protected salamander. None of us had ever seen one of these before, so it was a great treat.
I heart rocks!
Caterpillars on a tree.
After our nature hike, we went to the nature center and dino dig.
Then we went to Chuy's for some Tex-Mex. (FYI--This is the same place that the Bush twins were caught using fake IDs.)
A fun and full day!

It sure looks like you all had a lot of fun!
Hiking has always been one of my favorite things to do!
Wow...I never pictured Taxas to look like that! The only time I have ever been was in a taxi to see the Dallas Cowboys stadium and then back to the airport during a layover on my way to CA. How lucky you are to have such a great place to go hiking!
This is FABULOUS! Love the calla-pitters (as my sister...or maybe it was my brother...used to call them).
I wish we lived by you so we could go on nature hikes together! That looks like so much fun. And that salamander was pretty cool! If you get this- can you shoot me a quick email and let me know what language arts program you are using and also about bible? I think you use biblioplan, but not sure. Tomorrow a.m. bright and early- MACHE!!!
Yall always find some neat places to go to - man, it looks like A LOT of fun.
